11 black woman’s book club members we’re told to get off of the Napa Valley Wine Train for laughing and talking too loud. These women feel embarrassed, and have intentions to pursue five million dollars for “malicious oppression”.
They posted online on Facebook about how they got kicked off the train, and how they felt about it. The posts went viral with the hashtag #LaughingWhileBlack.
Napa Valley Wine Train CEO Anthony Giaccio apologized to these ladys. He said they were “100 percent wrong” and recognized “full responsibility.” These black women were then given a 50-seat railcar all to themselves, valued at $6,200.
The women are not accepting the railcar, and are standing their ground. They feel like they have been embarrassed and want compensation for that. The attorney is pushing for these women to win in hopes this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
